History
The physicians who make up The Urological Center practice
total some 75 years practicing their specialty. In fact, one
member of our team can testify to the miraculous
advancements witnessed over a thirty year career.
The practice was founded in 1956 by Dr. Joseph Crisp, with
Doctors John Donoghue and William Plavcan joining him in
1965 and 1970, respectively. Dr. Lawrence Jones joined the
group in 1972. Patients have known us as The Urological
Center, P.A. since 1983. With its convenient location in the
Robinwood Medical Center, The Urological Center provides
the community with easy access to quality care. Our facility
is technically superior. Our fees are responsible and fair.
Our philosophy is patient-focused.
We Know Only One Way to Treat People—With Quality Care.
The Urological Center operates on the premise that our
patients deserve only the best. Physicians that have optimum
training and genuine concern. Facilities that enable the latest
treatment techniques. Staff that is dedicated to making your
visit here as comfortable, and hassle-free, as possible.
We respect your time. We listen to your concerns. We
anticipate your needs. And we appreciate the value of
family’s support to your recovering health. That’s why we
pay attention to both your needs and those of all who play
a role in your care.
Our Billing Procedures Won’t Give You A Headache.
We don’t think that paying for your health care should be costly to your health. So we’ve made our charges for
services—and the process for remitting them—as painless as possible.
Since we specialize in one field, we’re able to keep our costs down.
No need to maintain a huge inventory of idle,
expensive technical equipment that’s duplicated at other closeby
facilities. That’s why you may be surprised at how
reasonable our fees are. In fact, for outpatient surgeries,
we have standard “per service” fees, so you won’t be
paying extra if your procedure runs a little longer than expected.
The Urological Center takes care of most insurance billing for our patients.
If an anesthesiologist is required, you may receive a separate bill for
those services.
It is important to let us know if you belong to an HMO, IPA or other Managed
Care Group since they may require a
referral and the use of a particular lab for tests. Otherwise,
just present your active insurance card when you visit, and we’ll
take care of the rest.
